Saturday
With our original plans for 2020 in tatters and multiple replacements having suffered a similar fate, Bruce and I tried one more time by arranging to spend a week in the Greek capital. Somehow, this one managed to survive. We set out for Athens from London on Saturday 03-Oct, flying British Airways in the Club Europe cabin.
Our main accommodation in Greece was in a centrally located Airbnb apartment, but Bruce also decided to treat us to an indulgent first night at the InterContinental, using a ‘free night’ certificate that he happened to have.
Sunday
We had an intentionally lazy day on Sunday, simply changing location, settling into our apartment and enjoying one of its best features – the garden!
