September 2021: Flying Visit to Bristol

Thanks to a schedule change by easyJet, I found myself with the opportunity to spend a few hours in Bristol prior to a visit to Birmingham. (Bruce and I had originally planned to meet up in the West Midlands.) The main activity in Bristol was a return visit to the city’s M Shed museum, where we were able to view the statue of Edward Colston that was famously toppled from its city centre location on 7 June 2020 and dumped in Bristol Harbour.

We walked back to Bruce’s flat via the familiar territory of Queens Road, Whiteladies Road, Clifton and Redland.
